Construction of the Machine

The Fluid Bed Dryer is useful for drying chemicals quickly. It is uses in a variety of industries, including pharmaceuticals, food, and others. Powder, coarse, granular, or crystalline materials are all possible.

It consists of a blower that blows fresh air into the product bowl via heaters at the bottom of the bowl and a perforated plate. Turbulence is created by hot air raising and expanding the material bed. Fluidisation is the term for this phenomenon. Fluidisation takes the shape of a fluid bed in the bowl.

The conditions are optimal for drying because fluidisation causes complete agitation of the solid particles and maximises heat transfer. As a result, the material dries quickly. To keep particulates from escaping the dryer, filter bags are provided.
